To cap off a wicked busy holiday season, Peter and I left the GTA on Dec 30 and arrived here in Oxnard on Jan 2, 2010.
Back track to Dec 26 when my bro flew me to NYC for a little hanging out with Mos Def in Brooklyn and some running around the Park that is Central. Good times in the city with much Starbucks consumed and subway rides to Soho and the Upper West Side for some mingling. Returned home on the 29th only to leave again as mentioned on the 30th!
Drive down to Oxnard was long but not that bad. Peter and I scored some good hotel deals and rocked out to an eclectic Sat Radio playlist which can only be described as "diverse". Pete thinks he's Jason Ellis (Faction 28, 3-7pm), we'll see how that works out for him.
Strawberries and Mountains, that's what Oxnard does!
Arrived in Oxnard just after lunch and hoped on the bikes to explore our new home turf. Then some grocery and house exploration filled the rest of the day until we could no longer keep our eyes open. Something tells me this place is going to be more legit than anyone could have guessed....
