Things I'm Stoked on... Part 1

So this post is all about things I'm digging while training down here in Cali.  All of these things either make life easier or more enjoyable.  None of these companies sponsor me, so I'm completely un-biased in my praise. 

Oakley Jawbones/Radars

So easy to change lenses and big coverage lenses.  One word, Hydrophobic!  It means the lenses have a phobia to water .... actually it's a permanent lense coating that prevents water from streaking and allows skin oils to be easily wiped off.   Watch the video on the website too see it in action!

Also been rocking some flat black Radars for days I don't feel as flashy.  Most comfortable glasses I've ever worn.

 SSSOOOOOO GGGOOOODDDD.  Pete and Holly introduced this to me and I'm officially obsessed with it.  Great for frying and awesome in eggs and salads.  Good way to add some needed fat blocks!!

I love this thing.  See my previous post for a video of me using it for Active Recovery.  I also enjoy the massage function which feel very similar to a hands-on massage and makes me feel great the next day!

Thanks to Pete for letting me try these... Awesome!  Very comfortable and great for hard out-of-the-saddle type efforts.  Almost feels like extra suspension.  I also find this particular model helps keep the forearm-wrist alighnment straight and opens my chest, helping me breathe deeper.

Zone Diet

I'm admittedly not the strictest "Zoner" but I follow it close enough not to stress myself out too much.  Pete has been teaching me about this way of eating and I've enjoyed it quite a lot.  Essentially just a 40/30/30 mix when it comes to carbs/protein/fats.  I find my energy is much more stable all day and sleep is also much better too.  Good times! 

Bloggie Camera

This camera is sweet.  Only available in the US right now, Canada soon, this thing takes awesome video and pictures optimized for blog posts.  The lens swivels 270deg and I even got the 360deg lens kit that allow you to take full 360 video (at fairly low quality but I'm optimistic it will get better).  Great to stuff in a jersey pocket and catch those crazy things we all see on rides.  Or whale hunting...

Nike Headphones

I was complaining about how Apple headphones have gotten brutal and always fall out of my ears while running/riding and Kari told me to try something that hooks over my ears.  I told her that was un-cool and would never where them.  I now have to eat my words because she was right.  I got these Nike headphones for 25US at Bestbuy and they have been awesome.  Much more comfortable and way less to adjust.  Also, since they're cheap I don't have to worry about ruining them.
